Privacy Policy

How One Life Care collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated September 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how One Life Care ("the hospital", "we") handles personal and health information when you use this website and the patient portal. By using the portal you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Patient and contact details: name, Patient ID, phone, email and next of kin.
  • Admission and clinical data: hospital, department, ward, admission and discharge dates, care team, status updates, diagnosis and clinical notes recorded by staff.
  • Billing and payment information: itemised charges, amounts paid and outstanding, and any payment proof you upload.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, collected automatically to keep the portal secure and working.

How we use it

  • To provide care and keep the patient record accurate and up to date.
  • To show admission status, the care team, clinical history and an itemised bill through the patient portal.
  • To process bill payments and confirm them with the billing office.
  • To contact the patient or an authorised family member about a status change, a record request or a bill.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and audit obligations.

Patient confidentiality

A patient record is only reachable with the exact Patient ID. Nothing is listed publicly and access is controlled. We disclose a record only to the patient, to a family member the patient has authorised, or where required by law or a competent authority.

Payment information

Online bill payments are made to the payment channels configured by the hospital. Any proof-of-payment image you upload is stored securely and is visible only to billing staff. We do not store full card or wallet credentials.

Cookies and translation

We use a small number of cookies for the session, security, and to remember a chosen page language. If website translation is enabled, the Google Translate widget may set its own cookie to remember your language. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some portal features may then not work.

Data retention

We keep patient records, clinical data and billing records for as long as required to provide care and to satisfy legal and regulatory retention periods, after which they are securely disposed of.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, request a correction, or request a copy of your medical records. Records are released to the patient or an authorised family member through the records office, after identity is confirmed.
